What is/are your favorite book(s) and authors? I love Pratchett, Eddings, Rowling, Tolkien... I love the classics, especially Dickens. I love YA Dystopia too. I'm just starting to dabble in sci-fi.
What is/are your favorite movie(s) and TV show(s)? I love movie adaptations of my favourite books, and I also love anything animated, plus Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure etc.
How long have you been writing? Twenty-one years
What was the first story you wrote that you remember? It was about a mermaid world in the back of a wardrobe. It started as a school assignment in Year Three (I think it would be second grade in America), based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
-Is it finished? No.
-Have you ever let anyone read it? I read it to my parents.
-What genre (romance, fantasy, etc) was it? Fantasy.
Who is your favorite character that you've written about? It's a toss-up between the protagonists of my first two proper novels (well, drafts of novels), Bloo and Rhoda. Bloo is a mermaid from a fantasy novel, and Rhoda is a human from a paranormal fey novel.
What is your favorite fantasy world you've created? Feel free to tell us about it. I love my mermaid world.
What fantasy project(s) are you currently working on? How's it going in terms of progress? I'm prepping a NaNoWriMo novel that's very literary fantasy with a sort of mythical feel. It's Native American Indian based.
Do you plan on taking advantage of the beta reading section? No.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
Have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo?
-How many times? Once in November and Camp NaNo twice (April and July).
What genres were your NaNos? Fantasy.
Did you finish the actual story by 50,000 words, or just reach 50,000 words but not be actually finished? I hit 50,000 and kept writing until I'd finished my story.
Are you planning on participating this coming November? Yes.
How did you find out about Worldsmyths? I think I found you via an affiliate link.
-What made you decide to join? I wanted somewhere to discuss writing, somewhere to be around others who write.
-Have you told anyone else about it? No.
What do you hope Worldsmyths will help you accomplish in terms of your writing goals? To help me discuss my writing more and gain some confidence to share it one day.
