  1. I love them all so much. I am big on fantasy creatures. I adore the sea, and anything in it, so mermaids, sirens, kelpies, selkies etc are high on my list. I'm also a big fan of Nessie and krakens. I love werewolves and vampires, but I am definitely Team Werewolf. I write about mermaids, werewolves and the fae a lot. Although I want to write about Nessie and am planning a pirate novel which would have krakens and sea monsters in. I've written about vampires in the past and will do so again. Currently I am writing about ghosts, zombies, fairies and aliens in the same book. Oooh, dragons! Phoenixes! Unicorns! I love so many! @Elena Your book sounds amazing!
  2. I found this cool new worldbuilding magazine. It's free and really detailed. You can read them from Issue One as well. Link
  3. I'm hoping to do Camp NaNo but I've no idea what I'm writing for it this year. I seem a bit stuck on story ideas.
  4. Thank you everyone! I'm particularly interested in the Blackfeet tribe in Wyoming.
  5. Are you participating in NaNo this year? Yes. Do you know what you're writing yet? Yes. Are you planning on starting something brand new or "rebelling" and continuing something you've already started? I'm doing something I've never tried before and writing "literary" style. It's still fantasy though (my main thing). It's based on Native American Indian stuff and I want it to have a sort of whimsical feel.

Twenty-one years What was the first story you wrote that you remember? It was about a mermaid world in the back of a wardrobe. It started as a school assignment in Year Three (I think it would be second grade in America), based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. -Is it finished? No. -Have you ever let anyone read it? I read it to my parents. -What genre (romance, fantasy, etc) was it? Fantasy. Who is your favorite character that you've written about? It's a toss-up between the protagonists of my first two proper novels (well, drafts of novels), Bloo and Rhoda. Bloo is a mermaid from a fantasy novel, and Rhoda is a human from a paranormal fey novel. What is your favorite fantasy world you've created? Feel free to tell us about it. I love my mermaid world. What fantasy project(s) are you currently working on? How's it going in terms of progress? I'm prepping a NaNoWriMo novel that's very literary fantasy with a sort of mythical feel. No. What do you hope Worldsmyths will help you accomplish in terms of your writing goals? To help me discuss my writing more and gain some confidence to share it one day.
