  7. I'd love to join. My username there is Sam Espelho. I know that I want to aim for 50k in July, but I haven't yet chosen which WIP to do it with.

  11. (Hope it's all right to add to older threads). This is a great list of podcasts! :) I'd like to add a couple that I haven't seen on it. 88 Cups of Tea with Yin Chang is one of my favorites. It's basically a collection of interviews with today's popular writers (a lot of them working in various fantasy subgenres) providing a lot of insight on writing, publishing, motivation, character development and other related topics. I really love it. And another one I'm currently following is Start with This, a pretty new podcast from the creators of Welcome to Night Vale. It's mostly geared toward podcast creators, but the three episodes I've listened to so far have given me a lot of useful thougths and insights about storytelling in general, regardless of the medium, so I think it's reasonable to mention it, too.
  12. All my current projects are in third person limited, which is my favorite POV to write in. It provides most of the perks of first person POV (you get to show some of the POV character's feelings, thoughts etc whenever it serves the plot), but it also allows you to occasionally throw in details that the character doesn't pay much attention to. The descriptions, for example: if my character doesn't really care what the room they're in looks like, it would be weird to start describing it when writing in first person. It doesn't feel that weird when writing in third person, though. Also, a lot of my stories end up having two or more alternating POVs, and I feel like third person makes the transitions easier.
  13. I pledge 25k. Hoping to get a bit more than that, but I want to be realistic. :)
