  1. Happy Christmas Eve if you celebrate it, and Happy Holidays either way! Today's the last official day of Advent, although there will be a Christmas bonus tomorrow. For our final character exercise, give us something about a character related to the theme of hope. You may use one or both of the prompts below to help inspire you. If you write fic, share it in the library and tag it with 'advent day 24' so I can find it. Otherwise, feel free to leave it as a comment here! Like the other advent events, there's no hard deadline on this. Try to get it done December 24th, but if you need to do it early or late -- well, better to participate than not! Keep track of all the Advent challenges here! Here are the prompts:
  2. Let's work on character/characterization. Give us a few details about a character, or a basic character concept, or maybe a little scene showing some characterization -- whatever inspires you based on one or both of the prompts below and the theme of faith. If you write fic, share it in the library and tag it with 'advent day 17' so I can find it. Otherwise, feel free to leave it as a comment here! Like the other advent events, there's no hard deadline on this. Try to get it done December 17th, but if you need to do it early or late -- well, better to participate than not! Keep track of all the Advent challenges here! Here are the prompts:
  3. Mondays are for character during Advent season. Your challenge today is to tell us a little about a character, but the character has to relate in some way to one or both of the prompts below. Your response should just be a comment on this event, unless you end up writing a piece of flash fiction and want to put it in the Library. In that case, tag it with "advent day 3" so I can find it. There's no hard deadline, though of course the goal is to get it done December 3rd. Keep track of all the Advent challenges here! Now, here are your prompts: AND/OR
  4. It's Monday, so it's time to work on a bit of characterization. You can use the image prompt below directly, or more indirectly by describing a character's reaction to pregnancy (their own or someone else's). If you write fic, share it in the library and tag it with 'advent day 10' so I can find it. Otherwise, feel free to leave it as a comment here! Like the other advent events, there's no hard deadline on this. Try to get it done December 10th, but if you need to do it early or late -- well, better to participate than not! Keep track of all the Advent challenges here! Here is your image prompt today:
